Finding My Voice

When choosing a photographer it makes sense that you may be overwhelmed. Seriously overwhelmed. There are so many to choose from and each with their own talents and vision. I want to be a photographer who stands out from the crowd. A photographer that when someone thinks about wanting new photos they only want photos taken by ME. I'm going on a personal adventure of sorts. I want to find my voice, my vision. A photographer friend recently changed her branding and I am in awe of the leap she took. On her website, she is able to list the kinds of weddings she enjoys shooting. As a result of her candid words, she will work with clients who see the world exactly as she does. I hope to have clients like that and hopefully working on my vision will make that happen. I am excited to have you along on my journey.

Custom Wedding Book

Here are some photos of a custom wedding book from my latest wedding. Books are a great add on to your wedding coverage. Wedding books are products that can be passed down through your family. They also tell the story of your day so you can relive it over and over again. Nicole and Rick chose a dark blue leather cover with their names and the date of their wedding embossed on the cover.

The binding on each book is handmade and created to last

At 100 pages, this book is a beast

I love the thick, quality pages

My designs are simple with clean, white space

And a few full page bleeds for that "wow" factor

This is such a great way to preserve the memories of your wedding day

The back cover

I am so happy with how this album turned out. I know Nicole and Rick will love it!

New Windsor, New York Wedding: Nicole + Rick

Nicole and Rick were married on a gorgeous New York Saturday. I was more than honored to be a part of it. Nicole and Rick are the kind of people that make you better off, just by knowing them. They are both real and genuine. The way Rick looks at Nicole, the way she looks at him, it is enough to make you feel as if you were looking in on a private moment. Thank you, Nicole and Rick, for choosing me to photograph the most special day of your lives.

Venue: Anothy's Pier 9
Hair and Makeup: Studio One Hair Design
Dress: David's Bridal Signature Collection
Flowers: The Flower Shoppe contact Brian
DJ: Mad Mike and Friends

As a gift, Nicole gave her bridesmaids a bracelet similar to hers, with a
charm of the first letter of each girl's name.

Nicole wore her grandmother's wedding shoes...

...and her great-grandmother's earrings.

Nicole was very relaxed while preparing for her wedding day.

I love the look a bride gets when she sees herself all done up in her veil.

Nicole was a radiant bride.

One of the best moments of a wedding day is the first time a father
sees his daughter in her wedding dress just before he gives her away.

They were excited to get married, no?

I met Rick for the first time on the wedding day. Instantly, I could tell he loved and adored Nicole.

Their ceremony was very personal and touching.

Rick's parents during the ceremony.

The flowers themselves deserve their own photo.

I loved the groomsmen's boutonnieres.

Nicole and Rick weren't able to allot much time in their schedule for photos of
the two of them but with the time they did have, they rocked it out.

This one might be my favorite.

Nicole and Rick put so many personal touches into their day.
One of the touches was with their rings. Nicole's said "Forever and a Day" while
Rick's said "The Beauty of Who You Are" which is the title of their first dance song.
The rings were also engraved with their wedding date.

They had a cookie wedding cake...

...fun goblets on their sweetheart table...

...and these guys! I had to take a photo with their rings.

As wedding favors, Nicole and Rick made a donation to an Autism Fund. A cause that is very close to their heart.

These guys look all serious here, but they were goofing around all night!

Their first dance as husband and wife.

Nicole's Cousin Paul sang their song-- The Beauty of Who You Are by Marc Broussard.
That night I looked up Marc's version and I have to admit, Paul was better. He has an incredible voice.

The maid of honor (and a good friend of mine) knew how to dance!

This man, affectionaly known as Cousin Ray, kept the party going all night.

Thank you again, Nicole and Rick, for having me at your wedding!
